LG has released official upgrade for its flagship device. LG G3 got its update for Android 6.0 Marshmallow internationally. If your device is not upgraded, then follow this guide to update your smartphone manually and enjoy the best features of Android Marshmallow. It is possible for you to manually upgrade your device even your device does not receive the upgrade notification automatically. You can easily download the KDZ file and update LG G3 to Marshmallow Android 6.0.

Before you start to upgrade LG G3 to Marshmallow Android 6.0:
- You better backup your important data including contacts, messages, call log, images, and documents etc. so that it will not be lost.
- Your LG G3 should have 50% or more battery left.
- Download and Install LG USB Drivers.

Steps to Install Marshmallow on LG G3:
Enable USB Debugging.
“Menu –> Settings –> Developer Options”

Once you have enabled the USB Debugging mode, follow the below steps thoroughly to upgrade LG G3 to Marshmallow.
[label variation=”label-primary”]Step 1:[/label] Download the Android 6.0 Marshmallow KDG stock ROM.
[label variation=”label-primary”]Step 2:[/label] Download LG Flash Tool and extract it.
[label variation=”label-primary”]Step 3:[/label] Transfer the KDZ file to Flash Tool folder.
[label variation=”label-primary”]Step 4:[/label] Power off your device and then go to Download mode/Fastboot mode.

Method 1: Using Power and Volume Up keys
- Turn off your LG G3 completely.
- Press and hold the Power and Volume Up keys.
[label variation=”label-info”]Note:[/label] Press the both keys at same time and keep holding them for 6 to 7 seconds. - Plug in the USB cable and connect your smartphone with the PC.
- Release the keys when Download mode is displayed.

Method 2: Using android application
To get to Download mode through this method, first root your device.
- Open Google Play and search for the Quick Boot app.
- Download and install it on your smartphone.
- Run the app and follow the instructions to reboot your LG G3 into Fastboot mode.

[label variation=”label-primary”]Step 6:[/label] Choose CDMA under Select Type, then choose PhoneMode to CS_EMERGENCY and load the KDZ file by clicking on folder icon.
[label variation=”label-primary”]Step 7:[/label] Currently, If your phone has custom ROM, then choose CSE Flash else If your phone has stock Android ROM, then choose Normal Flash.
